The Pro Shop Girton Golf Club PGA Golf Professional
Good morning golfers,
So it's been three days since Europe lost the Ryder Cup, being beaten from an amazing American display of golf and putting. Although it is such a shame that the Samuel Ryder Trophy will spend the next two years on the other side of the Atlantic, I think we can all agree that it was some incredible golf and passion shown from both sets of players along with some fantastic sportsmanship and a spectacle for a great game.
I would like to think that watching such a great sporting event that it has enthused you to improve and better yourself over the coming weeks and months. October is a busy month for us and although I am taking my family on holiday to the West Country for a week, Dean and Ollie have some exciting things planned.
A little reminder for you all...
I've said it before and I will say it again, how you set up your bag and the clubs you carry plays a huge role in your ability to perform the best for you... Too many of you carry too many clubs and not the right ones to suit your game.

Winter Coaching Programs
Have you committed to yourself to do something better this winter? Have you been fed up of playing the same style, level and standard of golf as the past 1, 3, 5 or 10 years?
Take up one of winter coaching options, from one session a month to one session per week. For more details click here and we can send you details of our packages.
The weather has turned...
So, although the weather has turned, there is no excuse for not playing. We have now got our winter ranges of waterproofs and warm gear available in the pro shop. Remember "there is no such things as bad weather, just poor preparation!" We have some great ranges from Callaway, FootJoy and ProQuip to keep your dry and warm this winter. If you waterproofs are older than two years it would be a great time to start thinking about a new set.
Winter Clear Out - Club Amnesty
I don't know about you, but I love to have a good clear out of the loft, garage, shed, back office wherever you hoard all those things that "could be useful." Well, if that is you and you have some golf equipment, whether it be putters, woods, wedges or irons and you haven't used them, maybe it is time to turn your old clubs into credit. We will sell your old equipment on eBay or Golfbidder and whatever the profit we will place on your pro shop account to spend against any product in store.
Bring your old clubs in and speak to any of the guys for more information.
