Welcome back Summer!
It seems that the golfing gods are smiling on us and have decided to let us have a little more sunshine to prolong our golf season here in the UK. The weekend saw a fantastic turn out for our Captains Charity Day at the club supporting the Alzheimer's Society where we raised well over £2000.
Another excellent week for a number of AFG students so read on in this email to find out how working with us has improved a number of golfers this season.
I am also pleased to announce that I am as always looking to further my knowledge and education for the benefit of my students and to allow me to become the best coach possible, I have been accepted on the Post Graduate Sport coaching course with the University of Birmingham and will be amongst a select number of sports coaches to take the part time development course.
I feel that by committing to this further education it makes sure that the students that spend their time with me are getting a coach that is constantly aiming to improve and is following the advice that I give to students which is always keep working on your game and improvement.
As some of you may have noticed in my past newsletter, we are now running an equipment survey. This is an online questionnaire that takes no more than five minutes of your time, and it can dramatically improve the service that we offer you.
By filling out the current clubs you have, whether you have had custom fitting experience, and what brands you would be looking to add to your golf game in the future, we can assess what you want, and look to bring the brands that you want to buy in to the pro shop as new stock for the 2015 season.
If you have a spare 5 minutes, then please click here and fill out this extremely useful survey!

SUCCESSFUL WEEK FOR AFG STUDENTS
Great to see some more of the AFG students playing some great golf this last week.
AFG student Marie Bayes (Abbotsley) and her partner Tabitha Brain (Abbotsley) won the County Scratch Foursomes Knockout final against 2 more AFG Students Sarah Greenall and Marcella Tuttle.
Unfortunately some students had to lose, but I am proud that three out of the four players in the final are working with me. Well Done Marie and Commiserations Marcella and Sarah.
England Trials for two AFG Students
I am pleased that 2 of my young students have been selected by England Golf to attend their Trials at WoodHall Spa. Ella Mason and Ollie Rust will be representing themselves and AFG and I know they will do their very best! Best of luck to you both.
TRIO OF AFG STUDENTS WIN MARY COLE ROSE BOWL FOR GIRTON
It was great that on Monday in the Sunshine at Royston Girton Ladies and AFG Students Sarah Peek-Vout, Jacqui Storey and Sue Hill won the Mary Cole Rose Bowl trophy, the first time that Girton have won the trophy since 1983. (The year before I was born!)
Congratulations ladies and look forward to working on your games during the winter.
Here is a picture of some of the great changes Sarah made in her last lesson
Student of the Week
With so many students now planning their winter schedules it is always an exciting time to sit down with them and assess what they want to achieve, where they feel they need to work and what their aims are for next year.
One of my hardest working students got to work on his Autumn and winter plan last week and it is looking like we are going to get some great work.
Graham comes to see me every 2 weeks and with this sort of commitment we make sure he works on small pieces at a time and with this time of year being his technique period.
After Wednesdays Session we have identified a couple of key swing mechanics areas to work on and as you can see from this image Graham has made a good start to the changes.
