Greetings from Alan Fletcher
Girton Golf Club - PGA Golf Professional

Hey everyone,

The days are getting longer (slightly), and the weeks to Spring are getting fewer. I know as a golfer it can be frustrating this time of year with the weather, temporary greens, the cold, and wearing 4 layers to play, but it is great to see you all out their playing still. It goes to show how many you love your golf in all weathers. This week's newsletter contains some great information on some new product available in store, Custom Fitting days, 10 Yard Challenges and some important dates for your diary.

As you may now know, I continually want to push and strive for better facilities and offering for myself, members and pupils. This week I delivered 2 County evenings to the County Ladies Squad and also the County Girls Squad. I am fortunate enough to have been selected to head up these programs and it is a joy to bring this reputation and highlight to Girton Golf Club and its members.

Girton's 2015 diary is looking hectic and exciting with lots of activities and competitions for members to engage and play in. I hope to start our Pro Challenge matches in March so keep an eye out and start to sharpen your games to take on the Proshop Team!

10 Yard Challenge

In January and February you can challenge Ryan to add 10 or more yards through changing your technology in your equipment to suit you. We have the bew Mizuno, Yonex, Titleist and Callaway products available, as well as the new Wilson , Cobra and Nike all on its way. If you want to book a FREE 45minute 10 Yard Challenge fitting, call 01223276169 option 3 or click here!

Titleist Demo Day

Friday, 23rd February will see us hold a Titleist 915 Fitting Day. This is a great chance to try the new 915 product and get fitted. We also have the new Ap1 and Ap2 irons available for fitting. To book your free fitting day appointment, call today on 01223276169.

Watch out Ladies…

At Girton, one of our key focuses for 2015 is to offer more to our lady members, guests and pupils. We will be running some new look ladies groups for beginners, social events, arranging an away day for ladies only.  On top of this, my wonderful wife has spent the end of 2014 researching and selecting what I would consider one of the best varieties of ladies clothing, shoes, bags and clubs, we will be arranging a ladies social open night that will allow you to see, try and buy from these great collections early in the season. Make sure get your outfits and equipment set up early.

Keep your eyes peeled in the newsletters for the social night date!

Get fit, get active, get golf fit.

With our new link to Prime Time Fitness Gym in Girton, it gives you a great opportunity for members to build their fitness, strength, flexibility and health this winter ready for the new season. As a qualified Personal Trainer and Golf Fitness Instructor, I am now offering a limited numbers of clients the opportunity to work on  6-12 week programs to make sure they look, feel and can perform great for the season.

Whether it be to lose weight, gain strength or increase power, I can set you up with weekly training session programs.
