Good Evening everyone!
Well, I'm not sure what I can really say about last week. The absolute best week of my life and possibly the most tiring! Last Wednesday, my wife Gemma gave birth to a little baby boy. Mum and baby are doing great and Dad is running on adrenaline.
There is nothing like the birth of your first son to send you into a tail spin, it was the best and most incredible experience ever and I am speechless, nothing to compare to, just incredible! Thank you for all the cards, gifts and congratulations from everyone I have seen. We really appreciate the love and support.
Student Ollie performs fantastically
I am really pleased this week for a student of mine who is working with me on my aspiring junior golfer program.
Ollie Rust has worked with me since last April on a weekly basis, with a program that aims to move him on technically at the right time but mainly to allow him to perform when he needs to.
After a great result in the Lexus Trophy event for England Regional players at Hawkstone park, where Ollie made the cut and finished 23rd from 100, (a great result as most of the boys were 2 years older than him) Ollie pushed on and travelled to Princes Golf Club to play in the Laddie Lucas Spoon. After a shaky first hole, Ollie returned a gross score 73 to win by 1.
A quality win and it sees him get cut to 4 early in the season.
We are very proud of Ollie's attitude and enjoyment of the game after the last week. Great to see!
Girton Juniors win 4-0 away
A great result was had by our junior team that played away at Bourn. The team consisting of James Black, Jack Thorpe, Louis Alderton and Amarytha Chandrappa performed fantastically, with each player winning a point for the team.
A special thanks goes to Adam Thorpe who acted as the parent in charge of the day and to Jack Thorpe who did an amazing job as the day's Captain.
Well done boys, a great result in your first match of the year.
