Staff news

Ryan's Last Week

Well, the time has come... Ryan's last week is upon us, and quicker than I thought! Ryan has served us well at Girton and been an instrumental part of the team in pushing Girton golf club and the professional staff forward. Having said that all good things come to an end, and with Ryan leaving, it gives us an opportunity to recruit for a new member of staff with fresh ideas and fresh look and a burst of energy.

Please feel free to come in or give Ryan a call this week and wish him well. Ryan and I will be playing together in the Pro's day on Saturday morning before I have to dash off to watch the mighty Arsenal.

Pros day

Pro's Day

We have one tee time slot available for a two ball at 7.24am, however other than that we are full. If you wish to enter as pair we will be accepting entries through the rest of the day if you can make sure you enter in the pro shop before you go out and sign and return you card when you come in. Entry is £5 per pair and goes towards the British Heart Foundation.

Special Beat the Pro challenge

You can bet your score against the score Ryan and I post to receive a free sleeve of Srixon soft feel ball between you. £5  per pair on collection of your card, and if you're pair beat our score, then both players receive a sleeve of Srixon balls.

Layering up for winter

Don't get cold follow! Alan's little demonstration on how to layer up your clothing to make sure you stay warm and are able to move freely.

Don't Slip, Get a Grip, with some fresh winter spikes

It is always a good time to get your shoes re-spiked before the winter. This winter we are offering a free  re-spiking service for all members, when you purchase a new pair of spikes. A full set of spikes is only £9.99, so why not drop your shoes into the shop and one of the members of staff will be able to help you.

Keep hold when it's cold (and wet)

It is always a good time to get your clubs re-gripped before they start slipping out of your hands this winter. If you get 10 or more of your clubs get re-gripped before the end of November, we will give you a free Callaway Weathersof glove worth £7.50. Grips range from £6 per club up to £9.50 per club and we can fit your grips to hand size free of charge.

I hope you enjoy the newsletter, and have a great weekend.
